Diving Panagsama House Reef in Moalboal, Philippines

In September of 2026, I dove Panagsama House Reef with Amigos Dive Center, by shore entry out of Moalboal, Cebu, Philippines.

This Panagsama reef wall in the town of Moalboal is most know for the millions of schooling sardines that crowd the site.

I got up at 6 in the morning in order to dive here, as this is when the sardines crowd the shallows.

The Sardines

Entering the water, we didn't see any sardines in the shallows so we headed deep looking around.

As we swam across the reef wall, we eventually came across the cloud pretty shallow, sitting around the 30 ft (9 m) mark.

The Dive

It is a very short walk from the Amigos dive shop down to the water, and we entered from the beach.

Logistics

Amigos Scuba runs this straight off their shop, so there is no boat and no transfer.

It ran $30 a dive. I did three dives that day, so $90 total, and that included a guide.

Dive Conditions

Visibility on my dive was around 90 ft (27 m). I wore a 3mm short wetsuit as the water temp was at 84.2°F (29°C).
