I dove Jemeluk Wall in June 2026 with Fresh Fins Diving, by shore entry out of Amed, Bali.

It was the first dive I did in Amed, and the first site I'd experienced with black sand. I dove it the same day as Amed Pyramids, another top dive site in Bali.

The Dive

Entry via shore dive, inbetween some boats!

Black sand and thriving reefs ahead!
Towards the shoreline is a Japenese temple covered in coral that you can view.

Marine Life I Saw

Blue spotted stingray.
Torch coral shifting in the current.
Schools of Chromis and Anthias.
Venomous scorpionfish walking on the sand.

Sea cucumber.

Parking & Logistics

We walked straight from Fresh Fins Diving to the water.

Tank porters had everything set up and ready by the time we got there, so gear hauling wasn't a hassle.

The beach itself was pretty crowded when we went in.

Jemeluk Wall is one of the most popular sites in Amed, and there are dive shops lined up all along this stretch of coast, so expect company on the beach and in the water.
