In May of 2026, a dove a a decommissioned WWII-era paratrooper transport, sunk intentionally as an artificial reef, sitting 99 feet down off Three Islands with Tekirova Diving.

I dove the C-47 wreck in May 2026 with Tekirova Diving, by boat out to Uç Adalar (Three Islands).

The Wreck

The plane sits at 99 feet off Uç Adalar, but the dive itself has plenty going on beyond the wreck.

On the way to and from the C-47 you run into scattered amphora and caverns, so it's worth taking your time on the approach and exit.

Dive Conditions

Water temp was 71.6°F (22°C), so I wore a hood + 5mm.
Visibility on our dive was 35ft.

Marine Life

Mediterranean monk seals are occasionally spotted at this site, though I didn't see any on this dive.

Mediterranean fireworms are everywhere!

Tons of Lionfish!
A school of squid greeted us on the way down.
Meditteranean Slipper lobster.
