Everything I Saw Scuba Diving Siyul Kebir

No items found.

I dove Siyul Island in May 2026 with All Star Scuba Scene, by boat out of Hurghada, Egypt.

Siyul Island (also called Siyul Kebira, or Big Siyul) sits in the Gubal Strait, roughly 30 minutes to an hour by boat from Hurghada. The site is known for coral gardens and reef walls on its north side, with depths ranging from about 15 to 30 meters (50 to 100 feet).

Multi-day Red Sea liveaboards like the one I took regularly stop at Siyul as part of a wider Gubal Strait route, so you'll often dive it alongside other Hurghada-area sites in the same trip.

The Dive & Conditions

Entry is by boat, dropping straight in from the liveaboard's tender. I dove this in May with 100 ft of visibility.
