Everything I Saw Scuba Diving the Giannoula K Wreck (Rhodes, Greece)

No items found.

In June of 2026, I dove the Giannoula K Wreck twice out of  Plimiri, Rhodes, Greece, with Lepia Dive Center.

It's an 110m cargo ship with her mast almost reaching all the way to the surface, sitting mostly intact at the bottom of Plimiri Bay.

The Wreck

The Giannoula K was built in the Netherlands and passed through several owners before sinking in 1981 after bad weather hit Plimiri Bay. She's 110m long, lying at a maximum depth of 22m, and still mostly intact.

Her mast comes all the way up to the surface.

The Dive

We drove to Plimiri, where a RIB took us out to the wreck site for entry. Lepia Dive Center runs this as a two-dive package.

The first dive covers the vessel's exterior and upper decks. The second dive takes you into the interior, including the engine room.

Dive Conditions

Visibility on our dive was around 30ft.

Water temp was 73.4°F (23°C), so I wore a 5mm wetsuit and felt fine.
