I dove District One in October 2026 with Critter Republic, as a shore dive in Dauin, Philippines.

It's very close to Uzis, which I dove on my own on my last full day.

The Dive

It was the busiest shore dive in Dauin, since it's where a lot of the loading and unloading for dive resorts and dive boats happens.

I think it's right next to Bongo Bongo Divers.

Much of the reef is covered in hard coral.

Clouds of small fish hang over the coral.

There are also a few concrete blocks sitting out on the sand.

The Dive & Conditions

The water was 84.2°F (29°C).

I dove in just a rash guard because the water was warm, but many other divers wore wetsuits.

The dry season, roughly November to May, is generally the most popular time to dive Dauin.

June to October is the wet season, with rougher seas.
