I dove Dacumi in October 2026 with Critter Republic, as a shore dive in Dauin, Philippines.
Dacumi is a broken pier off the shores of Dauin.
While it doesn't look like much at the surface, it has a lot of surprises underneath.
Dacumi
The Dive
You get in straight from the beach.

I saw more nudibranchs on this dive than on any other dive I did in Dauin.
There were also some critters out in the sand.

The pier pillars underwater are covered in growth.

The site can go to around 70 ft (21 m), which makes it an advanced dive.

I logged 59 ft (18 m) at the deepest, with an average of 36 ft (11 m) across 68 minutes.
What Marine Life I Saw
Nudibranchs were everywhere on this dive.

Access
I'm told this is a private pier, not public beach access, so you can only dive this site with permission.
The Dive & Conditions
Visibility was a little lower here, around 70 ft (21 m), and the water was 86°F (30°C).
I dove in just a rash guard because the water was warm, but many other divers wore wetsuits.
The dry season, roughly November to May, is generally the most popular time to dive Dauin.
June to October is the wet season, with rougher seas.
