I dove SD Point in July 2026 with Scuba Center Asia Lembongan, by boat out of Lembongan.
SD stands for Sekolah Dasar, Indonesian for elementary school, named for the school directly across the street from the site.
It's one of four dive spots on Nusa Penida's north shore known for wall drift diving, alongside PED, Sental, and Tugu.
This was day 2 of diving Nusa Penida for me, and probably the most biodiverse site I've seen at any dive site in the country so far.
The Dive

This is a drift dive along the wall, riding the current down Nusa Penida's north shore.
Of everywhere I've dived in Indonesia so far, this was the most biodiverse site I've come across.

Parking & Logistics
I did this as a boat dive out of Lembongan with Scuba Center Asia. It's around a 30 minute ride to the site. You could also stay on Nusa Penida and shorten the boat ride a bit, although the infrastructure on Lembongan is better suited for multi-day dive trips.
Dive Conditions
Visibility was 30m (~98ft) on my dive. This is a drift dive, so expect current along the wall.
