Diving Pentanissos Islet in Lindos, Rhodes

No items found.

I dove Pentanissos Islet in June 2026 with Lepia Dive Center, by boat out of Lindos, Rhodes.

This was an awesomer dive, in which we entered two different sea caverns cut into a sharp wall right on the edge of the Lindos Basin, one of the deepest spots in the Mediterranean.

The Dive

Pentanissos sits on the edge of the Lindos Basin, the second deepest spot in the Mediterranean.

The wall drops sharply and a complex of caverns runs along it, giving the dive a lot of structure to explore.

Inside the caverns, light shines down from the surface and illuminates the amphora sitting on the floor.

If you have a camera, this is one of the better photo setups on the dive.

Marine Life

A very tiny yellow nudibranch.
Anyone know what these are?
Mediterranean Parrotfish.

Dive Conditions

Visibility on our dive was 40ft. Water temp was 73.4°F (23°C) so I wore a 5mm wetsuit.
